The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain. This role involves researching and identifying potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The Procurement Specialist ensures that the company’s purchasing strategies result in optimal cost savings and high-quality goods and services.

Responsibilities

  1. Vendor Management- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and other relevant factors. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers. - Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.

  2. Negotiation - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers. - Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve the best possible terms for the company.

  3. Procurement Process- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order to payment. - Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures. - Coordinate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  4. Cost Management - Analyze market trends and assess the impact on the company’s purchasing strategies. - Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve these savings. - Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior management.

  5. Risk Management- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process. - Develop contingency plans to ensure supply chain continuity in case of disruptions.

  6. Compliance and Reporting- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related documentation. - Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role

Required Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Knowledge of market trends and industry best practices.
