POSITION: Parks Worker II
DUTIES: The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performance of a variety of light-duty maintenance tasks at the District's parks, trails, open spaces and facilities at multiple sites. Use and operation of of tools, equipment, vehicles, and chemicals essential to complete work tasks.
REQUIREMENTS: * Education- High School Diploma or GED * Have a valid Colorado driver's license * Must be a minimum age of 21
PREFERRED SKILLS: 1. Ability to understand, explain, demonstrate, and clarify to others, established protocol, policies, procedures, and standards. 2. Ability to follow specific instructions and respond to simple requests from others. 3. Ability to communicate effectively with other District personnel. 4. Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and supervisors. 5. Must be able to read and understand instructions and warning labels for equipment, herbicides, and fertilizer products. 6. Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing semi-skilled and skilled movements such as operating a variety of equipment. 7. Ability to use functional reasoning and apply rational judgment in performing diversified work activities.
WAGE: Starting salary $36,406.00 annually. Paid twice a month
SHIFT: The is a full-time position. This position involves some evening and weekend work. Discuss days and hours with employer.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands or arms and climb/balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor in tiring, uncomfortable conditions.
