Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in CANONSBURG, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be expected to manage and process invoices, facilitate vendor payments, maintain accurate records, and resolve any discrepancies. This position is within the industry and you will be working in a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications.
• Maintaining precise records of customer credit.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Analyzing invoices and expense reports to charge expenses to accounts and cost centers.
• Scheduling and preparing checks for vendors while ensuring federal id numbers are verified and discount opportunities are utilized.
• Managing the accounts payable email inbox, promptly and professionally responding to inquiries.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure that purchase orders, receipts, and invoices align with the correct accounting codes.
• Reconciling accounts payable supporting ledger to the general ledger and vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies.
• Recording company credit card transactions and ensuring appropriate documentation and treatment for GAAP and tax reporting.
• Calculating and recording appropriate sales and use tax. Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to execute Check Runs effectively
• Proficient in Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills are essential
• Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
