Rosscapes Inc., located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Phone 724.350.0066, seeks 5 Landscape Laborers needed for temporary, full-time employment.
Duties include: Spreading various types of grass seed, spreading or shaking straw, rolling out erosion control blanket (geotextile, straw and coir matting), pounding in wedges and ecostakes to fasten the erosion control blanket to the ground surface, planting bare root, live stakes and one-gallon trees, weed eating, fence installation (minimal), shoveling and raking. The employer will provide all needed on-the-job training. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Allegheny, Armonstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Washington and Westmoreland Counties, Pennsylvania; Brooke, Hancock, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Taylor, and Wetzel Counties, West Virginia; and Belmont and Jefferson Counties, Ohio. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated meeting site. Employer will then provide each worker with daily transportation among the worksites.
The employer will offer up to 40 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (excluding breaks). Work on weekends may be required in place of another day. Workers are needed 4/1/2025 to 11/30/2025. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Workers will be paid no less than $17.75 per hour. Overtime hours, if required, will be paid at $26.63 per hour. The employer will use a single workweek as standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid Friday (biweekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from workers' paychecks required by law. The employer will provide housing during projects that is primarily for the employer's benefit without deduction. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported the worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
