CNC Machinist | 1st Shift | $25-$35/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Canton, OH. The role involves operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines with live tooling to manufacture components. You will work with various metals such as copper, brass, and stainless, and utilize MasterCam software for programming. This position is on the 1st shift, with hours from 7 am to 3 pm, and offers a competitive hourly rate.
Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and program CNC machines with live tooling.
Help grow the CNC manufacturing department.
Run 5-axis mills and machines such as Doosans, Pumas, and Prototraks.
Machine various metals including copper, brass, and stainless steel.
Perform conversational programming and use G&M code with MasterCam software.
Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to check parts for tolerance.
Essential Skills
4+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing, preferably with vertical machining centers and mills.
Experience with 5-axis machines, with Doosan/Puma as a plus.
Proficiency in machine setups, programming, edits, changeovers, and tooling.
Ability to read blueprints.
Precision measuring using calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of G&M Code.
Experience in conversational programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CAM software experience is a plus.
Leadership or supervisory experience to train other CNC operators.
Experience with ProtoTrak machines and programming.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled, clean, and very safe. We recently purchased two brand new machines, one mill and one lathe, and are looking for someone to run both. With a family feel and 24 employees, the work culture is supportive and collaborative. The 1st shift offers flexible start times between 5 am and 7 am, ending at 3 pm, with 5-10 hours of overtime and only 3-5 Saturdays required per year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
