Trailer Mechanic

 Experienced trailer mechanic looking to join a great team? Look no further! Keen Transport maintains one of the safest and newest fleets in the industry.

2nd shift: 2:30 pm - 11 pm Mon-Fri

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lowboy trailers
  • Service, repair and diagnose brakes, suspension, axles and electrical systems
  • Move trailers throughout the property
  • Operate specialized tooling and vehicles
  • Maintain proficiency on equipment and technologies that enhance our productivity
  • Properly document all equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations into electronic maintenance program/completion of paperwork.
  • Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized
  • Interact in a respectful and professional manner with drivers and shop management

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Availability to work dayshift or second shift
  • 3 years of verifiable experience in trailer repair and maintenance
  • A valid driver's license
  • Air Brakes certification
  • Basic hand tools required for heavy duty trailer maintenance
  • Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork Mindset and great character

It'd be great if you also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diesel tech school diploma
  • Class A CDL
