Position Overview: As a member of our Community Response Team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families facing behavioral health emergencies. This position offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Respond to mobile crisis calls: You will collaborate with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and local first responders to de-escalate situations and connect individuals in crisis with the support they need.
  • Engage with individuals and families after a non-fatal overdose: Provide emotional support, resources, and guidance for individuals and their loved ones recovering from an overdose.
  • Offer brief interventions at local emergency rooms: Assist individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis while in the ER setting.

You are a great fit for this role if you:

  • Hold a CPSW or CHW certification.
  • Have a strong understanding of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals in crisis and their families.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and a commitment to serving diverse populations.
  • Are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
