Insight Global Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer in Catonsville, Maryland

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in designing HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems. The candidate should be adept at writing detailed reports and critically reviewing designs. A Professional Engineering license, or progress towards it, is a must, along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, whether it be electrical, mechanical, or architectural. Hands-on experience with REVIT for both design and drafting is essential. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, providing oversight and serving as a key point of contact for their queries and professional development. This opportunity is offering between $100-140K.

Skills and Requirements

* 5-10 years of experience designing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, medical gas systems, etc

* Experience writing reports and reviewing designs

* Currently has a Professional Engineering license or is tracking to sit for the exam

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or architectural engineering)

* Hands on experience using REVIT for designs and drafting

* Experience acting as a mentor, point of contact, and oversight for junior engineers

* Experienced in leading the electrical design discipline for large projects through concept, design and construction phases, and comfortable with associated client facing interactions * IESVE or other energy modeling program experience

* Professional organization participation (ASHRAE, ASPE or other)

* LEED certification null
