Assist and support loan officers and loan processors in the lending documentation process. Manage, update and correct data related to loan applications. Work with loan processors to review borrower files and perform various support and administrative tasks. Respond to borrower inquiries and assist in verifying borrower information. Process credit references, verify loan and deposit balances, maintain tickler files and adhere to all banking regulations. This position will also answer phones, maintain files, and process payments/advances. This is NOT a remote work opportunity. Two positions are available and are located in our Cedar Main branch.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Complete due diligence and paperwork on loan applications, contracts and renewals.
Return phone calls and answer questions, including about the status of loans. Greet customers.
Facilitate contract signings and closings, complying with all applicable laws.
Assist loan officers and collections with creating, collecting, and processing paperwork.
Run, review and track documents including credit, Flood, hazard insurance, OFAC, vehicle titles, UCC filings, financial statements, and other reports as needed
Order Appraisals and environmental reports
Maintain credit and collateral files, scan and file documents
Process environmental reviews and title fees
Prepare loans to be sent to the Loan Processing for boarding
Process requests for loan advances, prepares GL tickets on loan payments, advances, and loans fees.
Prepare correspondence as requested to customers or outside agencies
May be asked to maintain active status for Notary Public
Prepare fund request documents for wiring funds to closing
Do maintenance on loans in Horizon
Remain current on government regulations related to lending and internal policies, follow all bank regulations, procedures and processes.
Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
Must pass a credit & background check
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years’ experience in a lending environment
Experience with escrow, title processes, and loan documentation
Familiarity with bank lending policies and regulations
Some basic knowledge of credit analysis and financial statements
Associates degree or equivalent experience
Skills
Ability to use software and systems to complete day to day tasks
Professional in appearance, verbal and written communication
Good decision making and judgement
Ability to handle and protect confidential information
Ability wo work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member
Ability to comprehend and interpret bank policies and procedures
Well-developed and proven organizational skills with ability to utilize time efficiently
Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills
