Your Role:

The Manufacturing Supervisor directs the facility production and stockroom activities on a specific shift and promotes a \"Safety First\" culture. The Supervisor maintains safe working conditions throughout the facility by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions. They will meet production schedules and standards in accordance with applicable customer requirements and maintains optimum production at the least possible cost. Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates training and supervision of unionized hourly employee activities; administers plant rules and procedures; recommends employees and candidates for hire, promotion, demotion, transfer, disciplinary action and/or termination
  • Effectively manages the work schedule for the plant to prevent idle time
  • Provide for the optimal use of personnel, machinery, and material using proper work standards
  • Maintains standards of quality with continuous improvement in quality performance through proper training, good communication, and effective leadership
  • Responsible for ensuring incident reports and associated corrective actions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Effectively handles employee complaints, suggestions, questions, in accordance with the company guidelines and bargaining agreement
  • Reporting all safety, quality, and efficiency performance daily through written or verbal communication in the form of shift notes/reports
  • Assists in the review of labor and manufacturing costs as they relate to production
  • Analyze and recommends methods for reducing costs
  • Coordinates the implementation of any approved process or procedure changes with the employees
  • Perform material movements and other actions in ERP System
  • Collaborate with different groups (Engineering/Design & Quality) to address production order issues with corrective and preventative actions

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate\'s Degree in mechanical, electrical, or other technical disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coach and mentor employees
