• Install, or coordinate the installation of, new or modified hardware, software, or programming modules of telecommunications systems.
• Test and evaluate hardware and software to resolve efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems, networks, and data.
• Supervise and analyze system performance, such as network traffic, security, and capacity, to proactively identify service-impacting issues.
• Resolve sophisticated and advanced network and telecom service issues in a timely manner to support internal and external customer requests and needs.
• Update, and generally improve user documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems.

• At least 5 to 10 years of experience.
• Required skills: Telecom Eng, NEC, and Cisco
• Familiarity with the standards that apply to telecom networks
• Expertise in telecommunications protocols and technologies
• Technical understanding of various hardware and software components that are needed for telecom engineering workflows
• Experience with software related to telecommunication systems

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $120,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
