We are seeking two full-time Pharmacists to join our growing team at a specialty pharmacy located in Louisville, KY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic pharmacy environment focused on delivering high-quality medication management services to patients.
Position Overview:
The Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing medication management activities, ensuring comprehensive and accurate medication screening and dispensing. This role also involves coordinating pharmacy policies to enhance patient care and providing clinical medication information to healthcare providers and patients. Additionally, the Pharmacist will manage and supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the intake process, including patient referrals, benefits investigation, and financial assistance opportunities.
Manage patient care by collaborating with healthcare providers, assessing clinical data, and optimizing therapy for medication safety and effectiveness.
Coordinate the fulfillment process, including prescription processing, inventory management, and timely medication delivery.
Analyze and report data to assess treatment outcomes and the impact of pharmacy services.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards.
Supervise pharmacy staff, providing training and performance oversight.
Screen medication orders for appropriate dosing, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.
Offer clinical consultations to healthcare providers and patients regarding medication use, storage, side effects, and interactions.
Monitor patient adherence to prescribed therapies and provide counseling as needed.
Assist with billing, record-keeping, and operational documentation.
Support sales and marketing initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
Required Qualifications:
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
At least two years of pharmacist experience.
Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing.
Strong clinical knowledge, including drug interactions and disease management.
Experience in clinical monitoring and medication adherence strategies.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Specialty pharmacy experience and relevant certifications (CSP, BPS).
Knowledge of medication claims processing systems.
Multiple state pharmacist licenses.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to moderate noise and vibration in a pharmacy environment.

Pay Details: $127,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year
