JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Yard Laborer
Reports to: Yard Supervisor
FLSA Code: Non-Exempt
Creation Date: 02/5/2025
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean working environment and housekeeping duties
Responsible for correct dunnage placement for the finished product
Follow appropriate work instructions to clean and upkeep equipment
Complete all panel detailing postproduction before stacking in a timely manner
Responsible for communication with crane operators to ensure safe operation
Correctly set hook-ups to panels for safe lifts
Operation of telehandler or other equipment as needed
Dedication to safety, quality, and efficiency
Ensuring panels are set straight and correctly in stacks and on trailers
Responsible for safe operation everyday of multiple hand tools - grinder, hammer, leaf blower, hammer drills, etc.
Ensure tools are in safe working condition each day before use
Responsible for calling attention to any issues with supervisor
Compliance to the “Fabcon Way” – “Every single day a little better than the day before”
Responsible for daily inspection before use of any equipment
Basic Qualifications
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work extensive overtime when required
Ability to operate machinery safely
Ability to read a tape measure / prints is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Concrete repair / patching
Physical Requirements
Carrying/lifting >40 lbs. often
Standing / walking / ladder climbing daily
Squatting / crouching / kneeling / bending daily
Pushing / pulling / reaching above should daily
Forceful use of hand tools
Work Environment
Year-round weather conditions (All seasons are full operations)
Dirt/dust, loud noise from heavy machinery, walking on gravel
Construction setting with no climate control
Varying amounts of light
Qualifications
Education
