Wells Fargo Lead Treasury Analyst in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Treasury Analyst. You will provide support base forecast, identification, measurement, and management of interest rate risk exposure on bank's balance sheet.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as Lead Consultant to finance, accounting, and Business Line management to produce balance sheet, NII, and IRR analytics.

  • Provide overall advisory on treasury finance and risk strategies. Engage across the team to originate actionable analytics and create reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into interest rate risk exposure and proposed mitigation strategies.

  • In partnership with modeling groups take ownership of model development and enhancements, policies, and issues.

  • Develop and enhance automated tools for back testing, "what-if" analysis, and attributions, ensuring robust and efficient risk management processes.

  • Lead targeted projects including guiding other teammates and engaging in the transformation and efficiency objectives to enhance key processes, tools, reporting, and hand-offs.

  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies and accounting and consulting firms.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or financial discipline

  • 3+ years' experience with model risk governance and/or model validation in the financial services sector

  • Demonstrated experience with the execution of financial forecasting activities in a variety of scenarios

  • Experience with third party fixed income models (e.g., PolyPaths, QRM, Bloomberg, Calypso), and other financial analytics tools

  • Experience executing financial analytics processes with high governance expectations, including transformational change in key processes, efficiency efforts, and leading cross-functional deliverable execution.

  • Experience with SQL, Python, PowerBI, and third-party systems, including QRM

  • In-depth understanding of fixed-income mathematics and products including mortgage-backed securities, structured products, municipal bonds, interest rate swaps and US Treasury bonds

  • Significant attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated experience managing complex financial analytics
