The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Summary
This Manager role involves leading various activities, organizing and managing resources, and collaborating with partners. Key responsibilities include forecasting, people development, performance reviews, and tracking team performance. The candidate will upgrade the SAP GTS on-prem system to a state-of-the-art SAP RISE hosted environment and build solutions with both SAP and Non-SAP components. This includes designing and testing prototype and production solutions, ensuring seamless integration, and working closely with Corning’s GTS DevOps project team and business stakeholders to create standout supply chain offerings powered by SAP. Additionally, the role requires developing strong relationships with stakeholders, continuously learning, and developing technical SAP and business expertise. The individual will also establish a sustaining organization to support and run the operations.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and manage a team to develop and support SAP GTS related capabilities with the Supply Chain Delivery Organization
Manage resources and provide financial forecast for the respective areas
Maintain with the Service Owner a continuously evolving roadmap, support and drive shaping and estimation of projects and capability enhancements
Establish an SAP RISE compliant extension and support framework to drive Continuous Improvement and Continuous Delivery with DevSecOps
Advocate for modernized toolchain usage such as Signavio, Cloud ALM and BTP
Build SAP technology Supply Chain solutions in conjunction with SAP and Non-SAP components
Design, set-up, and test prototype and production Supply Chain solutions and ensure that all the pieces work together seamlessly
Work with Corning’s GTS DevOps project team, Businesses, Business Engagement, Service Line Owner, to create stand-out supply chain offerings powered by SAP
Understand GTS involvement in the Supply Chain process, required Compliance checks in export process and work closely with OTC dev/ops team.
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and gain the trust of key advisors
Continue to learn and develop your technical SAP and business expertise
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 15% depending on business need and requirements
Experiences/Education - Required
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or another related field
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Solution Design, end-to-end architecting with SAP GTS and ECC (or S/4) with in-depth knowledge of SAP Best Practices and trends
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with solution design activities for GTS projects
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in leading IT teams
Excellent communication and written skills to aid in RICEF creation and design document creation
Proven track record of working in DevOps teams, projects, upgrades, and deployments
OTC (Order to Cash) – Ability to demonstrate SAP (ECC or S/4) Processes for OTC, including related processes as Purchasing and Material Movements
GTS – experience in different areas of GTS, such as Compliance Management, Customs Management and Risk Management
Experience with RFC connections and data exchange between ECC/S4 and GTS
Knowledge of Function Modules and User Exits related to the interfaces between ECC/S4 and GTS, as well as troubleshooting data issues
Proven experience and knowledge in modern development tools and methodology; especially development on SAP BTP Platform, especially in RISE compliant extension concepts (CleanCore)
Proven ability in Solution Design and Estimation
Experience in Export processes
Experiences/Education - Desired
OTC stream - Ability to demonstrate SAP ECC processes in OTC
Experience in SD (Sales & Distribution), LE (Logistic Execution), GTS (Global Trade Services) and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) process implementation & customizing
Strong knowledge in setting up various kinds of sales and shipping processes and integration with other key modules
Experience in dealing with key integration areas procurement, supply chain, warehouse management
Conduct working sessions with business users as required to clarify requirements or troubleshoot issues
Work in Corning’s ITSM related applications like ServiceNow, Teams, Cloud ALM, Signavio, Sharepoint, SAP Solution Manager

The range for this position is $139,210.00 - $191,415.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
