The Technical Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on technical support to the maintenance technical team on manufacturing equipment and processes related to automation, warehouse and packaging manufacturing facility. Works closely with the production team oncontinuous improvements of plant support equipment and production process optimization. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and automation principles, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify optimization opportunities. Create, modify, and maintain equipment design ideas using 3D CAD software (preferably SOLIDWORKS or equivalent).

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting technical team by troubleshooting mechanical issues on production equipment and systems.

  • Modify drawings and specifications for mechanical components using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.

  • Coordinate and consult with technical team to design, lay out, or detail components and systems to resolve design issues or breakdowns.

  • Modify and revise designs.

  • Participates in the development of ideas and concepts.

  • Participates or supports cross-functional teams in the building or improving equipment and process performance.

  • Solves technical problems & issues.

  • Identifies improvements or modification opportunities.

  • Communicates status of active work.

  • Ensures GMP, safety and quality for all proposed modifications.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and forward-thinking mindset.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.

  • Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.

  • Computer literacy in office documents and spreadsheets

  • Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience

Education and Experience:

  • Technical degree preferred or a minimum 5 years related experience.

  • Proven experience in managing technical team.

  • 5+ years of related experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Self-starter who exhibits ownership of assigned tasks and who will push for solutions that solve immediate problems while building toward long-term goals.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization.

  • 5+ years Allen-Bradley PLC advance programming/troubleshooting experience
