Robert Half Contracts Manager / Procurement Specialist in Charlottesville, Virginia
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Contracts Manager / Procurement Specialist. This position offers a remote work schedule.
The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison for all third-party vendor contract requests and manage various contract-related tasks, procurement, and sourcing.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the initial liaison for all third-party vendor contract requests
• Create and maintain a contracting log of all upcoming, pending, and renewals and terminations for all department contracts
• Conduct weekly meetings with contract owners, update them on their contract status, and gather details of their future contracts
• Enter all contracts into the Contract Management System (CMS) with a focusing on accuracy and efficiency
• Assist in drafting and editing contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensure all contract details are obtained for contracts prior to entering them into the Contract Management System
• Enter Purchase Orders for all contracts
• Ensure all new vendors are added into the ERP system and compliance checks are complete prior to vendor activation and contracting process
• Ensure the vendor is performing their deliverables
• Validate invoices to receiving and maintain accrual log on a monthly basis for all work done/goods received at month end that is not paid during that time
Requirements
• Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Contracts Manager or Procurement Specialist role
• Proficiency in Contract Management is essential for this role.
• Experience in Compliance procedures is necessary.
• Proficiency in Procurement and Procure-to-pay processes
• Familiarity with Purchase Orders management is a must.
• Experience in handling Invoice processing is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis is necessary.
