Robert Half Logistics Coordinator in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team based in CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee. In this role, you will be part of an expansive logistics company, focusing on coordinating and overseeing shipment operations. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

100% in office during temporary time, 1 day work from home once hired full time.

Hours: 8:00-4:30pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

• Enter transportation/load information from clients related to shipments or truckload transportation into a customized transportation management system.

• Work with various clients such as Amazon, Toys R Us, and Walmart to manage their shipping schedules.

• Maintain a high level of proficiency in using CRM - Customer Relationship Manager, and other database programs.

• Exhibit the ability to quickly shift priorities and change direction as needed, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

• Learn new software quickly, displaying adaptability and eagerness to enhance technical skills.

• Communicate effectively via phone, in person, and via email, ensuring clear and concise internal and external communications.

• Exhibit assertiveness in decision-making processes and when asking necessary questions.

• Utilize MS Excel and other database management tools effectively to maintain accurate records and data.

• Implement logistics and shipping knowledge in daily tasks and responsibilities.

• Utilize the WMS System for effective warehousing and transportation logistics.

Requirements • Possession of a minimum of one-year experience in the logistics industry

• Proficiency in CRM - Customer Relationship Management

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in logistics, shipping, and warehousing

• Familiarity with WMS System

• Proficient in MS Excel and database management

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in internal communications within an organization

• Understanding of transportation logistics

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating various tasks simultaneously

• Problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail

• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
