Robert Half Financial Analyst in Chesapeake, Virginia

Description We are in search of a Financial Analyst to join our team in the retail industry, based in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia. This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including financial oversight for store supplies related expenses, expense inventory control, and various analysis tasks. This position will also involve acting as a liaison between Field Operations and other departments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial oversight for store supplies related expenses and expense inventory control in all distribution facilities.

• Prepare various ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses as required.

• Participate in the annual budget preparation for areas of responsibility and support leadership with strategic projects and initiatives.

• Act as a liaison between Field Operations and other departments, including P& L research, and Invoice Reconciliation.

• Complete analysis for field expenses and development of programs and reports to control costs.

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for effective financial management.

• Perform various accounting functions and contribute to budget processes.

• Handle expense reporting and other finance-related tasks.

This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role within the retail industry.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions and Budget Processes.

• Demonstrated experience in Expense Reporting and Finance.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
