JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District is looking for a caring and dedicated Special Education teacher to fill the role of long-term substitute for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher leads CW HS/MS students in a self-contained Intellectual Disability setting, working with students on a functional curriculum and assisting students in increasing their independence. Responsible for providing education to students to meet their intellectual, emotional, developmental, and social needs that will foster life-long learning and good citizenship. Instruction will include small group instruction, specialized skill development, and collaboration with other providers, including outside agencies. The special education teacher will collaborate with other service providers to meet student needs during the day. This program is located at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High/Middle School, offering the opportunity to integrate into the general education setting and provide service and support to the school community. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred applicants will possess a WI DPI Cross Categorical Special Education License #2801.
