A day in the life

Be a critical part of a senior leadership team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by leading a region of Sales Managers and Field Sellers who are driving growth within our largest and fastest growing small & mid-market accounts. Early and continued cloud adaption is key in enabling these customers to accelerate innovation and scale. As AWS continues to rapidly grow, we seek a Partner Sales Leader to own and operate our Enterprise market segment. As a Leader, you will be adept at delivering desired outcomes thru others while staying ingrained in the detail. You will possess sales, management, and technical experience that enables you to lead a team with engagements at the CXO level at Partners and customers alike as well as with VP/Dir of Engineering, DevOps and IT architects.

In this role you will lead and influence customers to build, shape and grow their AWS business and in many cases their digital transformation to the cloud with partners. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing and entrepreneurial organization, bringing innovation and growing the adoption of cloud. This role will require you to build/lead a team of sales professionals and first/second line managers and most importantly develop the strategy to grow AWS in your market. You will be responsible for developing opportunity pipelines, evangelizing cloud computing, driving revenue and user adoption. You will also be responsible for working with the AWS partner team to develop a robust partner ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive revenue and market share while meeting/exceeding revenue targets

• Develop and execute against a set of goals including customer references, support and training

• Develop and work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption

• Build and leverage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to further adoption of AWS services in the market

• Build and develop highly skilled Sales Teams focused on delivery through Partners

• Demonstrate a history of executing scalable programs across a volume of new and existing customers

• Have a consistent track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets thru others

• Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM Strategy to achieve Customer Outcomes

• Demonstrated history of adhering to High Standards and using good judgement

• Lead a Customer Obsessed business that delights our customers

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required

  • 10+ years experience leading a team of Sales Managers

  • 10+ years of technology related sales or sales engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS is a plus

  • Strong leadership skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $168,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $278,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
