Job Description

An employer in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Physicist for a contract to perm opportunity. This person will be working at one of the main hospitals of a large, recently merged health system. They will be participating in a variety of duties in the areas of dosimetry, calibration, treatment, planning, radiation protection, and safety as they relate to radiation physics. They also will be expected to perform all mandatory QA on treatment units, troubleshoot machine issues, and produce highly complex planning including XBT, IMRT SRS, and HDR. Also, they will be tasked with reviewing plans with all clinical staff MD's and Therapists to ensure accurate and safe treatment of patients.

Skills and Requirements

Master's Degree

5+ years experience in radiation oncology

American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) PHD with training in specialized aspects of therapeutic radiological physics

Local to Chicago or surrounding area null
