We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr. Financial Analyst, Treasury on our Finance team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.
As a Sr. Financial Analyst, Treasury, you will perform Treasury accounting and cash management functions to optimize financial operations. This role will drive investment reporting and analysis, identify and implement Treasury process and automation improvements, and support business unit treasury related inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accounting and Analysis
Assist with monthly/yearly financial close including investment reporting review and analysis, cash activity review and analysis.
Assist with Treasury procedures review and development.
Perform financial analysis of Treasury reports/data and prepare analyses for management.
Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts.
Treasury/Cash Management
Identify areas of improvement for current treasury processes and present solutions that will facilitate automation and operational efficiencies.
Initiate and manage cash management system RFP and related projects.
Cash forecast development and analysis.
Review and initiate Wire/ACH payments.
Process all Payroll and Business Tax payments, as well as authorize all Sales Tax payments.
Assist the Treasury Manager with cash management and banking activities.
Provide back-up to the treasury accounting and the management functions as needed.
Accounting Operations
Analyze trends including revenue and budget costs as directed. Ensure consistent methodology is used.
Stay up-to-date on current accounting procedures to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with guidelines.
Review and research accounting best practices.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant degree required, CPA and/or CTP preferred.
5+ years of corporate accounting/treasury experience.
Current knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proven experience with financial information systems including Oracle Hyperion, SmartView/Essbase, Blackline, Lawson, or similar applications/tools. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
Highly attentive to details, organized, and effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
Able to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, exercising judgment within defined accounting procedures and practices.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and overall business acumen required
This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $81,600 - $108,120. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
