Howmet Aerospace Automation Engineer in Cienega de Flores, Mexico
Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our control systems, robotics and automation of our processes in order to ensure that daily operations are efficient and effective.
In addition to supporting the different projects of the company.
Action plans to decrease downtime, determine critical spare parts, follow up actions derived from failure analysis (EWO),
Problem solving of the productive areas in general.
Design, implement and maintain industrial automation control systems.
Identify and solve technical and production problems
Work collaboratively with other engineering specialists to improve production processes.
Perform testing and analysis of control systems to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness.
Elaborate root cause analysis, using EWO (Emergency Work Order) formats.
Execution of the actions of the action plans defined in the root cause analysis.
Planning and execution of projects in general
Search and development of suppliers for the manufacture and sale of spare parts and maintenance service providers.
Follow up and control of maintenance expenses of the area.
Elaborate and manage payroll, vacations, safety and productivity metrics of assigned personnel.
Comply and verify compliance with safety, health and environmental rules and guidelines.
Manage the functions of plant and contractor personnel under his charge.
Identify savings opportunities and implement actions that lead to cost reduction in the areas.
Experience in ABB industrial robot programming focused on different tasks:
Off-line program download (OLP).
Configuration of communication with PLC and peripheral equipment.
Robot zone configuration and Desspack adjustment
Robot I/O configuration
Robot mastering, TCP verification and payload configuration
Robot-PLC troubleshooting
Cycle time reduction and throughput improvement
PLC programming experience Allen Bradly (Studio 5000), Simens (Step7), Omron (Sysmac studio desirable)
Experience in HMI programming (FTV, WinCC, Omron desirable)
Experience in RS232, TCP/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus communication networks.
Experience in configuration of Power Flex, SINUMERIK, Delta frequency inverters.
Design of electrical and control diagrams (EPLAN)
Handling of AutoCAD
Handling Office Package
