The Division is an interdisciplinary and interactive research community of over 20 faculty with more than $14M of annual grant awards. Research in the Division aims to discover the fundamental mechanisms of cell differentiation and organogenesis, elucidate the developmental genetic basis of human birth defects, and investigate stem cell biology for regenerative medicine. Being embedded in one of the top pediatric research hospitals in the world enables unique opportunities to study congenital disease and translational research to improve child health. Applicants leveraging quantitative or computational approaches are encouraged to apply and will synergize with emerging institutional initiatives. Faculty have access to subsidized state-of-the-art core facilities, high-quality MS, PhD, and MD/PhD programs, and training programs for postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, residents, and clinical faculty. Qualified applicants must have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences. candidates are expected to have completed postdoctoral training with an outstanding publication record and an innovative research plan. Candidates at the rank of Associate Professor should have an established track record of excellence and a sustained, extramurally funded research program.
