Description Primary role of this 1st shift position is to setup, operate and take down equipment and machinery that is designated to the Finishing department. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assess daily priorities and customer deadlines. Set up and load machines. Operate equipment proficiently. Develop and execute efficient workflows. Trouble shoot problems and find a solution. Quality assurance on all jobs Always keep an organized and clean workspace. Cutting, padding, binding, drilling, stitching, etc. Work safely KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Previous equipment operation experience in the print industry. Basic computer skills Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated Positive outlook, goal-oriented, and reliable Critical thinking Proficiency in reading measurements Basic math Read and follow instructions. Self-motivated and team player Knowledge of print industry Machines that may be expected to learn and operator include: Clamshell Die-Cutter Guillotine Cutter Machine Taper Mounting Machine Laminator Fotoba Cutter Digital Cutter Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
