altafiber Wireless Construction Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position : Wireless Construction Manager

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Job Purpose :

This position will be responsible for all planning, construction, and budget related activities associated with the management and development of wireless networks, such as Distributive Antenna Systems (DAS) and Private Long Term Evolution Networks (pLTE).

Essential Functions:

20% Manage RFQ Process - Candidate must be able successfullyadminister an equitable RFQ process and able to differentiate value between competingbids.

20% ContractManagement - Candidate must be able to successfully execute, maintain, and verify that all aspects ofConstruction Agreements are in force throughout the entire term of the contract (Insurance, Safety, Quality, Economics, and Timeliness).

15% Create and MaintainAccurate and Timely Budget Reports - Candidatemust be able to develop and effectively communicate current and forecasted project budget status on a - project by project - basis as well as cumulatively.

20% Create and MaintainAccurate and Timely Project Status Reports -- Candidatemust be able to develop and effectively communicate forecasted and actual project timelines to various internal and external groups so proper planningcan occur between the various groups involved in the project.

5% QualityAssurance Audits - Candidate must be able to successfully discoverand correct all contract and or construction plan deviations in a timely and effective manner in order for projects to be closed out timely.

20% Develop Best Practiceand Procedures - Candidatemust be able to identify, develop, and implement best practice and procedures.

Develop and MaintainStrong Vendor Relationships - Candidate must be able to develop, manage, and grow many various competing contractors and the relationship each has with altafiber.

Develop and MaintainStrong Customer Relationships - Candidate must be able to develop, foster and maintain strong Customer relationships in conjunction with the development of Wireless Network Development.

Develop and Maintain Strong Radio Frequency Engineering Relationships – Candidate must be able to work alongside the Radio Frequency Engineering Team in order to develop highly functional wireless networks.

Education:

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

Certifications, accreditations and licenses focused in the electrical, managed cabling, project manager and wireless fields are desired.

Relevant Work Experience:

Over 10 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Applicant should possess a strong background in:

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project

AutoCAD experience a plus.

Strong communication, conflict management and problem solving skills are essential.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have employee direct reports but does have oversight responsibility for vendors and/or contractors

Work Environment: Flexible

30% work from home.

40% work at designated altafiber office location.

30% work at customer or vendor premise
