EMSL Analytical, Inc. Laboratory Technician (Materials/Combustible Particles) in Cinnaminson, New Jersey
EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician (Materials/Combustible Particles) in its Materials Science department in Cinnaminson, NJ. This role is hands on providing testing for various particles for combustibility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Testing dust particles for various properties (particle size by sieving, milling for size reduction, moisture, ash)Utilize specialized equipment to determine dust combustibility according to established ASTM and OSHA methodsDesign experiments to provide analytical data and interpretation to solve problems requested by customers Responsible for equipment maintenance and qualification, interaction with vendor service and application support Interact with both internal and external customers to understand the requirements and planning for work flowSummarize the analytical data upon completion and generate final reportsRequirements:Associates or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Geology, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Metallurgy Zero to three years' laboratory experience is preferredFamiliarity with mechanical testing and maching is a plus Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-taskEffective verbal/written communication skills, be well organized, and be self-motivatedWork well independently and with a teamMust be able to distinguish colors in order to perform the analysis.Be able to lift a minimum of 40 poundsPosition requires bending, lifting, reaching and standing to operate and run the equipment/experiments.Available Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For consideration of employment ALL applicants MUST apply through the careers web site: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=4502 EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401 (k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, flexible spending account.
