The Coca-Cola Company Costa Coffee Supply Chain Senior Manager in Ciudad de México, Mexico

The Supply Chain Manager for Mexico will be accountable for the end-to-end execution of the Supply Chain activities and strategy. Reporting into GM in the first instance and dotted line to Head of International Supply Chain

The role holder will be working closely with the leadership team in Mexico to plan and manage the supply chain of goods and services. Will be responsible to highlight risks and come up with mitigation plans and further saving opportunities to help accelerate the ambitious growth aspiration. Expected to take ownership of developing the market supply chain routes to market, ensuring quality, safety, sustainability and efficiency are key considerations

Key activities include:

  • Accountability for end-to-end Supply Chain activity in Mexico

  • Production planning and Inventory Management with key regional suppliers

  • Relationship management of local 3 rd party roastery operations and output and applicable 3 rd party Warehousing and Distribution operators

  • Network planning to customer distribution centres

  • BU Supply Chain cost management in conjunction with Supply Chain Finance

  • Working with TCCC procurement to support regional sourcing initiatives

  • Product Commercialisation

  • Working with the Global Centre, lead the Mexico Supply Chain strategy, objectives and programs in support of the business road map for the business unit and its component Franchise and Bottler Partners, aligned to Global strategy, policies and objectives

  • Accountable for progress reporting (including KPIs) against improvement plans and targets, provide regular and ad-hoc supply chain analysis.

  • Accountable for key supply chain initiatives to provide business benefits, devise strategic and tactical plans for the management of materials supply, inventory and costs

  • Develop planning processes and implement S&OP to deliver the strategic business plan in a cost-effective manner, collaborate between commercial and operations teams to maximize value from strategy deployment.

Main Key Tasks and Activities

Ensure that the Supply Chain strategy aligns to business unit and global growth ambitions and is fit for purpose to service it.

Supply Chain Strategy Development and Execution

Approach to Warehousing and Distribution in region

  • Technology growth required to support business growth

  • Sustainability and food safety standards

Lead the demand, forecasting, S&OP deployment, and inventory process to support Japan growth

  • Order Management, Account Management, Customer Services with all BU partners - franchise or Bottler Partners, together with ensuring inventory and stock holding is covered appropriately for forecast

  • Review and implementation of new and additional tools to aid this process eg S&OP toolset

3PL Management

  • Lead relationship with local 3PL's to ensure the countries if local set-up, has the right service at the right cost through day-to-day management and longer-term improvement projects

Relationship Management

  • Develop strong personal relationships with appropriate stakeholders and senior Executives across the business.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to key stakeholders with a view to becoming an invaluable business partner of key stakeholder functions

HSSE, Diversity & CSR

  • Fully understand and support Costa's Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies & policies and ensure application and compliance in all sourcing activities.

  • Drive the contribution of key suppliers to the achievement of Costa's HSSE, Diversity and CSR agendas.

  • Working capital improvement (Payment terms)

  • Enabling Costa's global growth and brand

Experience (Proven expertise):

  • 5+ years related Supply Chain experiences in complex/international environment

  • Educated to degree level.

  • Experience in global transformation projects

  • Credible in front of senior stakeholders and the executives of key suppliers.

  • Works under broad direction, though work is often self-initiated.

  • Establishes milestones and has a significant role in the delegation of responsibilities.

  • Takes initiative to keep skills up to date. Mentors colleagues.

  • Maintains and awareness of developments in the industry.

  • Analyses requirements and advises on scope and options for continuous operational improvement.

  • Demonstrates creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/ stakeholder.
