DESCRIPTION OF WORK Join us at Clarks Summit State Hospital, where multiple opportunities are available for passionate and empathetic licensed Psychiatrists. As the attending psychiatrist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and administer treatments to patients that align with the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. Clear communication and documentation with medical staff is essential to ensure effective treatment plans are followed. In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a compassionate and committed medical team to deliver essential mental health services to patients while advancing your expertise and gaining valuable experience as a psychiatrist.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Possible evening, weekend, and holiday on-call Overtime and travel as needed, may change based on operational needs Free parking! Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.

Special Requirements: Possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.

Other Requirements:

PA residency requirementis currently waived for this title.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
