Job Title: Machine Repair Mechanic

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Repair Mechanic, where you will be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting heavy industrial machinery. You will assemble repaired machinery using new and refurbished components, replace parts such as bushings, roller bearings, and seals, and ensure proper fit and clearance between mating parts. Your role will include reading mechanical blueprints, using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments, and filling out detailed inspection reports. You will also handle rigging of heavy machine parts and assemblies up to 50 tons, operate overhead cranes with up to 50T capacity, fork trucks, and man lifts, as well as perform burning and welding tasks.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in WATERFORD, Michigan.

Work Environment

Our expansive facility covers 9 acres with over 100,000 square feet under roof, featuring 34 overhead and jib cranes with capacities ranging from 40 to 100 tons. The environment includes a machine shop, fabrication shop, and assembly shop, equipped with a variety of machinery including presses, saws, welders, CNC mills, and a variety of boring and drilling equipment.
