What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems Cleveland, Ohio office has an opportunity for a SeniorBridge Engineer with over 10 years of experience in bridge design to join our established transportation practice. Projects would include, new structures design, as well as, evaluation and rehabilitation or repair of existing bridge structures. Candidates will be responsible for the overall project management, the design of projects, monitoring and adhering to budgets and schedules, performing QC or QA reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and working with other staff in completing projects. Applicants must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to travel for projects site visits, and to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects. The candidate will also assist in the development of the project understanding and technical approach associated with the preparation of bridge proposals.
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- - Prepares or preferably directs; 1) preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for difficult projects. 2) Construction management tasks.
- - Plans and develops engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches.
- - Organizes and develops project team to execute specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and project inspection. Must be able to delegate.
Reviews project design for gener
