Coeur d'Alene Resort Beverage Server at the CdA Resort Convention Center in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho

Job Summary

We are looking for professional beverage servers who pride themselves on giving superb service and maintaining outstanding salesmanship. Previous experience in banquet catering beverage serving position preferred, beverage serving experience is required. please be able to serve with dexterity during high volume events while maintaining ordering accuracy, upsell ability, and onstage composure. Responsibilities include setup and breakdown of mobile service stations, including serving equipment, glassware and beverage products. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. must be able to work 8-12 hours during some but not all events. Must be able to provide transportation to events at the resort and offsite locations.

Beverage Server responsibilities are:

  • Reading and adhering Banquet Event Order specifications

  • Setting up and breaking down all bar events based on specification

  • Alcohol and cash handling security procedures

  • Serving every guest accurately based on guest request

  • Communicating and connecting with customers

  • Delivering recommendations and honoring special requests when able

  • Thorough knowledge of menu and products available

  • Be self motivated during events to capture and increase all potential sales.

  • Ensuring professional appearance of personal grooming standards

  • Ensuring professional appearance of work station

  • Following identification procedure

  • Adhering to company guidelines

  • Adhering to state and federal alcohol consumption regulations

    Beverage Server requirements are:

  • Relative volume Beverage Serving experience

  • Dexterity to keep pace with event volume

  • Financial ownership of alcohol and cash handling

  • Understanding a variety of classic beverages and trend requests

  • Outstanding customer service and salesmanship skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Knowledge of company policies

  • Knowledge of alcohol policies

  • Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment

  • Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.

  • Variable hour team members could be eligible12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan:

  • Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.

  • 2% match with a 4% contribution from the team member.

PTO:

  • 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)

  • 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)

  • 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)

  • 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

Holiday Pay:

  • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
