Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be involved in project-based work as our company transitions to a new facility. This role will primarily focus on repurposing and upgrading old equipment, with a significant portion of the job dedicated to electrical component upgrades on machinery. You will also handle machinery breakdowns, repairs, rebuilds, and normal production maintenance.
Responsibilities
Assist in moving and setting up equipment in the new facility through Q1 of 2025.
Repurpose and upgrade old machinery, focusing on electrical components.
Handle machinery breakdowns, clean, repair, and rebuild equipment.
Perform normal production maintenance (approximately 10% of the job).
Work with wiring, controls, sensors, photoeyes, HMI, 480V, and 24V systems.
Upgrade electrical components on machinery, including hooking up and running wires, and tuning/installing drives.
Utilize mechanical experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as fabrication and welding.
Essential Skills
Industrial maintenance experience.
Electrical experience up to 480V.
24V controls experience.
Mechanical experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Fabrication and welding skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with blown film machines is a big plus.
Experience in plastics maintenance is transferable.
Familiarity with manual conveyors, bagging, and wrapping machines.
Knowledge of old technology on machinery, with an understanding of upgrading to PLCs and robotics.

Work Environment
Our work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit. We are moving into a larger, nicer facility equipped with new and refurbished machinery. The facility operates primarily on 480V electrical systems, with lighter electrical using 24V controllers and switches. The work schedules include 1st shift (8 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday) and 3rd shift (Midnight-8:30 AM), with current overtime on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coldwater, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
