The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for acting as the team lead, trainer, and driving day-to-day workflow in E-Commerce or E-Book departments. This role will work alongside employees' and contribute in the day-to-day operations. We are looking for someone who is a TEAM PLAYER and brings ideas to the table. JOB SUMMARY The Shift Supervisor role will support Goodwill's mission by generating revenue to help people overcome barriers to economic and personal independence through education, training, and job placement programs. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for acting as the team lead, trainer, and driving day-to-day workflow in E-Commerce or E-Book departments. This role will work alongside employees' and contribute in the day-to-day operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/KPIs for assigned duties. Generally responsible for monitoring the workflow and addressing immediate issues of safety, and product flow either personally or through delegation (aka "Management by Walking Around"). Assists in managing breaks, redirects staff/work teams to address call-offs, coaches' employees verbally and with initial write-ups, and provides input to reviews and terminations. Monitors employee performance and production according to set goals and standards. Teaches, coaches, and implements product research protocols, and procedures and protocols for listing items on our E-commerce platforms. Checks quality of listing descriptions and product photos to ensure accuracy, correct use of grammar, and quality of products listed. Assists in ordering and maintaining supply stock. Acts as a Safety Representative for the team. Duties are completed accurately, safely, and timely to ensure that items are handled appropriately and not damaged throughout the process. Promotes and demonstrates positive teamwork and cooperation. Adapts and uses technology as it becomes available to operate efficiently. This includes but is not limited to process automation and platform updates and/or changes. Maintains a clean and organized work area to provide a safe and efficient workflow for employees and customers. Follows all Goodwill and department policies and procedures, the Employee Handbook, and safety standards. Cross-trains and works in other areas as assigned by any member of management. Performs all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: Minimum of one-year E-commerce sales experience desired. Other: Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards. This may include but is not limited to Internet Search Engines, Microsoft Office Suite and other software platforms. Have a keen eye for detail and quality. Able to be detail oriented and very organized. Have an advanced level of knowledg to identify and describe high-end merchandise, including but not limited to: antiques, collectibles, artwork, designer brand names, jewelry, books, and media. Able to effectively write and proofread item descriptions for clarity, spelling, and grammar. Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers through verbal and electronic means. Able to problem solve and make decisions. Able to maintain confidentiality. Able to withstand prolonged sitting/standing, reaching, and bending up to 8 hours per day. Must have the ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required. Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
