Job Description

The Indirect Data Entry Specialist III is responsible for a variety of clerical duties within the indirect department--primarily insuring that new indirect auto loans are created on the loan system correctly and promptly and additional Processing duties. Additional duties include the recording of new contracts, verification of membership, and assignment of contracts to the appropriate individuals. The Data Entry Specialist III is an initial defense against applications being duplicated which could cause two loans for the same vehicle being created, processed and funded thus causing confusion for members and duplicate payment to the dealerships. The Data Entry Specialist III is also the primary defense against fraud by mitigating Fraud Shield, Red flag mitigation, verifying account information, ID's, and completeness and legality of the dealer packets.

Essential Functions Login new contracts, verify membership, and assign contracts to processors. Input applications from dealers into Ent's loan system. Audits daily work from data entry personnel. Convert direct applications into indirect application. Checks loan contracts for accuracy, inclusiveness and books loans onto loan system. Review all support documentation for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, application for titles, proof of name change documentation, Bill of Sale, Insurance validation, credit bureaus, verify applications, warranties, gap, dealer products, MSRP, book sheet and data as needed. Check Scanning E-funding Folder for scanned loan packets and checks from dealers. Resolves basic contract issues with dealers. Answers member's questions and resolves member/indirect issues as needed. Review loan files to clear fraud shields, red flags, check ID's and paperwork for fraud and compliance Controls document retention. Train data entry temps. Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent 3+ years' experience with data input and general office experience 1+ years' data entry for a financial industry / lending organization Preferred 1+ year lending or loan experience or equivalent Preferred

Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experien

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Excellent attention to detail. Strong basic math skills (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division). Strong communication skills to address uncovered issues with dealerships / team members effectively. Able to coach and train new team members on processes and best practices. Able to follow instructions for review, mitigation, and escalation of identified fraud flags. Strong time management skills. Able to use 10 Key for data entry. Basic u derstanding of scanning equipment and how to attach files to various systems. Basic familiarity with indirect lending concepts, principles, and regulations. Basic working functionality in Symitar system. Basic working functionality in our loan booking system or similar loan booking systems at other financial institutions.
