Philips Senior Laser Manufacturing Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Senior Laser Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team focused on the production and sustaining of our Excimer laser. You will play a crucial role in supporting our production interface with our R&D team on design changes and participate with cross functional teams to maintain the highest quality of our product.

Your role:

  • You will lead engineering activities related to the post release of the laser. These will include troubleshooting production issues, update to procedures or specifications by creating change orders to improve the process while maintaining product integrity.

  • Work closely with procurement, quality and supplier quality on issues discovered during production to drive down defects.

  • Successfully interact with associates in other departments at all levels of the organization to achieve project and product objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Research and Development, Regulatory and engineering staff.

  • Update drawings and work instructions when design changes or process improvements are required.

  • Continually add new industry knowledge for personal and organizational growth. Proactively share knowledge with others on the engineering team and cross functionally.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 6+ years in medical device or other regulated industry with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or 10+ years of mentioned experience with an associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Your skills should include SolidWorks, ability to utilize both empirical and theoretical methods to solve problems, understanding of Lean and Six Sigma as used in a production environment and the Daily Management process.

  • Ability to lead Design Changes and Engineering Change Request, including scoping, planning, and implementation.

  • Experienced with complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies is a plus.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $87,000 to $150,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
