Aerotek Assembler in Columbia City, Indiana

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler at our state-of-the-art production facility in Columbia City, Indiana. As a Defense Contractor for the United States Navy, we specialize in manufacturing buoy systems used for detecting enemy ships, aircraft and submarines. These buoys, deployed from military aircraft into oceans, utilize technology such as sonar, radio transmitters, and hydrophone sensors to communicate with naval ships. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for the meticulous assembly of these buoy systems using small hand/power tools. Additionally, you will need to accurately interpret work orders and prints. Our assembly line is dynamic and we ensure our employees are not doing the same task all day by rotating positions. We are a growing company, expecting to increase our headcount by at least 150 people by 2025.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Columbia City, Indiana.

Work Environment

Our plant floor is one of the nicest in the area – very clean and temperature-controlled. Work hours are from 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday, with a likelihood of working Fridays. Employees enjoy two paid 10-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Compensation is $18.43 per hour.
