We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our steel plant in Columbia, SC. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a steel plant or similar industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with maintenance software and tools
- Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
