Seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in the Middle TN area!

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead a team of 4-5 engineers and oversee various facilities and engineering projects within a manufacturing setting. The role involves recommending and purchasing equipment, parts, components, and services for projects and plant-wide assignments.

  • You will evaluate and provide justification, specifications, scope of work, design drawings, P&ID’s, bidding, scheduling, supervision, startup, and commissioning of assigned projects.

  • You will also serve as a liaison between production, maintenance, other internal departments, and outside contractors.

  • This position requires demonstrating leadership capabilities and utilizing team effort throughout projects and problem-solving activities.

  • Additionally, you will support research and development of new process techniques if existing technology is not suitable or viable, arrange outside contractors to perform work on a project or within the facility, and assure a safety-first attitude which includes all facility safety work instructions and maintenance.
