Day in the Life:

As a Front End Compliance Technician/Backend Technician, you will ensure compliance with all Omnicare, State and Federal guidelines. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Contacts physician on any verbal narcotic prescriptions to receive a hard copy within the required time frame per state regulations

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all controlled substance prescription

  • File daily controlled substance manifests

  • Send control prescription renewal requests to prescriber daily

  • Send control prescription renewal reports to facilities weekly

  • Rotate and work within assigned pharmacy workstations, to safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions all while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations

  • Scans all medication pending for delivery

  • Prepares manifests and ancillary paperwork to correspond to appropriate nursing facility

  • assist with other pharmacy non-workflow tasks as needed

Hours: full-time; flexible; rotating weekends

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:

  • One (1) year or more of pharmacy technician experience in long term care

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician

  • PTCB National Certification

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting

Education:

Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $28.45

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
