Summary:
Our Enterprise Data Governance team is growing, and we’re looking for an outstanding Senior Data Governance Quality Assurance and Control Analyst to join our team. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for creating, tracking, and enforcing data governance processes. The development of data policy, standards, and controls and their continued enforcement will be critical to the success of Huntington’s journey to being a data driven organization.
The Data Governance Quality Assurance and Control team provides oversight and measurement of the implementation and execution of Data Governance and Management policies and procedures. Senior Data Governance Quality Assurance and Control Analysts support enterprise Data Governance capabilities and partner across the bank assisting in the team’s work on data sharing agreements (e.g., drafting, reviewing and processing, monitoring, and close-out), developing documentation of policies, standards, controls, and processes related to data sharing and data governance, working with other teams in data governance and other divisions in Huntington on data sharing, governance, policy and privacy issues, convening, and leading and documenting meetings with stakeholders across the enterprise involved in the process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with internal partners in Audit, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to identify and define data policies, standards, and controls to enable broader use of data across Huntington
Be challenged to meet deadlines, directly interact with key members of management, and provide dynamic feedback to actively improve evolving processes
Plan and execute substantive process and control testing to measure the successful implementation of policies and procedures
Evaluate testing results to determine if issues exist and improvement recommendations are necessary
Effectively communicate results and recommendations with stakeholders
Develop key relationships for ongoing review and collaboration
Work under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and problem solving
Track and monitor the implementation of data controls across the organization and report on findings and results
Contribute to the development and design metrics required for monitoring and tracking adherence to Data Governance policies, standards, and controls
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of experience that may be a combination of internal/external audit, business segment, or risk experience focused on risk and control assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience implementing data governance frameworks (e.g., data policies, standards, and controls), experience developing and/or implementing data governance policy and standards, or experience working with IT and/or business segments on the analysis of complex business processes and data governance needs
History of developing and monitoring the delivery of efficient and effective processes to solve diverse and complex data problems
Risk management, regulatory, compliance, and/or audit experience is a plus
Knowledge of data governance or data management
Strong project management skills illustrating organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under deadlines
Experience in data analytics, reporting, or data-related programming skills
Negotiation skills with the ability to influence others by information/knowledge sharing
Strong knowledge of governance policy, standards, and controls processes
Well-versed with latest data policy decisions, guidelines, and business trends
Strong partnership and collaboration skills, including the ability to work in a cross-functional manner with business and technology stakeholders
Strong communication and business writing skills, including ability to draft business testing controls
Strong understanding of the objectives of business segments and how our Data Policy & Standards support those objectives
Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
High level of organization and attention to detail
Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently
Demonstrated perseverance
Strong PC and internet skills with proficiency in Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio)
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential
Familiarity with data governance or data management concepts
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of individuals across the organization
