About the Role
We are seeking a Rolling Mill Setup Technician to join our diverse team for the Night shift (10:30pm- 6:30am). You will be responsible for the day to day set up of rolling mills within our Extrusion department, participate in Continuous Improvement activities and ensure the highest possible Customer rating for product satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain rolling mills in order.
Provide support to Extrusion Operator in troubleshooting during the operation of the line.
Polish roll sets after removing them from the mills and put them back on their racks in order.
Report roll and die problems or abnormalities of machinery to supervisor immediately.
Follow all work cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures
Use the shadow-graph, cut section and check Mylar.
Who we are looking for
Minimum 3 years related experience in industrial field
Secondary school Diploma, or equivalent, preferred
Knowledge of Extrusion process/profiles and ability to methodically problem solve mechanical/process issues/demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Able to lift 50lbs to the waist and 40lbs overhead
Your preferred qualifications
Certified forklift operator, an asset
Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset
