What you'll do The Benefits Manager oversees all aspects of the employee benefit plans, including policies, communication, ongoing analysis/modifications, and strategic planning. The incumbent will be responsible for the competitiveness of the organization's benefits plans and their ability to attract, retain and develop Bassett’s human capital. He/she must be strategically focused on providing creative, innovative, and contemporary designs and programs responsive to the organization’s changing profile. Establish a vision and develop a plan to address the present and future needs of the department that reflect best practices in the field. Make recommendations to Director on needed changes to benefits plans and programs to ensure competitive position. Leads the strategic development and implementation of the “next generation” of Bassett’s benefits plans/programs. Present well thought out, analytical facts as needed on benefits programs, trends, and trade-offs. Monitors the cost effectiveness of existing benefit plans and make well thought-out, fact-based recommendations on required revisions to meet strategic benefits objectives. Oversees Medical/ Dental/Vision Insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holidays for all employees. Through personal leadership skills, ensures that the benefits team is highly motivated and efficient. Develops an effective communication approach to ensure that the plans are fully understood and appropriately valued by employees. Reinforce the breadth of benefit offerings. Provides services to employees to answer their benefit questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees, and process enrollment forms and changes. Assists with the negotiation and contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration. Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures. Analyzes and evaluates services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization. Oversees and monitors the organization’s Worker’s Compensation program and claims performance. Analyze carrier cost structures and plan data to prepare reports and recommendations Works collaboratively with HRBPs, TA and Payroll to ensure benefits strategy is executed. What we need from you Education 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, required. Four years of experience may be substituted for a degree. Experience Minimum 5 years of benefits administration experience, required Minimum 3 years of management experience, required Skills Analysis & Evaluation Attention to Detail Build Relationships Computer Skills Customer Service Data Management Manage People Time Management Supervise Others Strategic Thinking Physical Requirements Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement. Pay Range Minimum: USD $93,194.92/Yr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $139,792.38/Yr.
