Job Summary and Qualifications

The Learning Institute Site Coordinator works under the supervision of the Manager of the Learning Institute and Director of AVP Academic Partnerships. The Site Coordinator has a Master’s in Nursing with expertise as a clinician, educator, and leader. The Site Coordinator serves to function as the leader of clinical faculty and students, as they develop the curriculum for designated academic and non-academic programs under the auspices of the Learning Institute and college partners.

  • Supports the HCA Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals

  • Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while adhering to Safety and Infection Control Programs

  • Supports hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Goals

  • Demonstrates and promotes the HCA Facility’s indicators of success and philosophy

  • Assures quality care through compliance with departmental policies, hospital, and external agency guidelines

  • Demonstrates personal growth and professionalism in the work environment

  • Facilitates implementation of the curriculum for designated academic and non-academic programs and functions as an integral part of the nursing partners

  • Incorporates evidence-based research findings into clinical practice

  • Facilitates employee progression within the learning institute processes

  • Assists in the development and attainment of organizational goals. Enhances the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the organization

  • Coordinates the Learning Institute functions including the student application process, didactic and clinical schedules, and relationships with Academic partners

Experience

  • 3-7 years experience

  • 5 yrs. Clinical experience. Formal academic experience preferred

  • College Graduate Required

  • RN with current or temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas. Current BCLS (from AHA or ARC) certificates required. Current specialty certificate preferred
