Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Receiving Specialist Team Leader (D – Senior Level) to join support the Materials Management & Transportation Receiving team based out of Coppell, TX .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation

  • Knowledge of United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express, DHL, and Domestic and International Express Mail processes

  • Knowledge of packaging procedures for technical data (e.g., CD-ROMs, discs, web) or documents

  • Ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties

  • Knowledge of operating procedures for packaging and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers)

  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance

  • knowledge of transportation, shipping, receiving, and storage procedures to understand and identify potential requirements and impacts (e.g., Electrostatic Discharge [ESD], hazardous material, OSHA, EHS)

  • Train new employees coming into department

  • Exhibit excellent leadership skills while maintaining and meeting department KPI’s

  • Communicate issues promptly to management and key stakeholders

  • Able to solve problems individually and with team

  • Able to build and maintain teamwork environment where everyone is valued and included

  • Grow team members to become more knowledgeable and effective in department

  • Must maintain excellent attendance and be a role model for department

  • Must be knowledgeable and well versed in SAP and Spot fire

  • Hold daily team meeting to distribute information on Safety, Quality and productivity

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Coppell, TX.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Procurement/Supplier Management/Materials Management to include Receiving processes

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, receiving, inventory and manufacturing environments

  • 3+ years of experience leading, motivating and developing others

  • 3+ years of experience with a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift

  • 6+ months of experience operating power lift equipment such as: forklifts, stackers, pallet jacks and cranes (including educational and operational training)

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime if needed

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma/GED, Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 4 or more years of equivalent military or technical training and experience

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP Material Management/Procurement (or similar software)

  • 3+ years of experience with military and commercial packaging, handling, shipping and transportation of equipment and Dangerous Goods

  • 3+ years of experience in hazardous shipping/receiving

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+5 years' related work, Bachelor+2 years' related work, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $62,050 - $83,950
