Stryker Senior Staff Engineer, Electrical Design in Cork, Ireland

In this role as a Senior Staff Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of a team working on the next generation of technologies needed to advance understanding of electrosurgery for ENT applications. These devices are used by Health Care Professionals in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Neurosurgical procedures – procedures that improve and save lives.

You will be responsible for developing key technologies and ideating architectures that will be used for these devices, and working with colleagues on how to integrate these products into the ecosystem of complementary devices for our ENT customers.

What you will do:

  • Provide technical leadership in electrical design to multi-disciplinary R&D project teams

  • High power analog circuit design with FPGA controls

  • General PCB and console design

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience of electronics product development

  • Strong understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What you need:

  • Must have a minimum of a Degree (level 8) in a suitable subject (e.g. Electronics Engineering) or similar

  • An infectious enthusiasm for new technologies and their application
