Summary
The University of Michigan has an exciting and enriching opportunity available for a responsible, organized, and motivated individual. Our office is hiring a Research Technician Intermediate to work on a long running stroke research project. This position is in Corpus Christi, TX.
Responsibilities*
Abstract health information from participating patient's electronic medical record from area hospitals; enter abstracted data into standard data collection tool. Review the medical record and identifies stroke patients based on medical record documentation.
Conduct baseline interviews of identified patients.
Schedule participant appointments and conduct phone calls for reminder, scheduling, interview, and data collection purposes (including calling participants throughout the study to ascertain their location (home vs. rehab). Conduct baseline interviews.
Setup study material for scheduled participant interviews; organizes and maintains collected participant research data.
Participate in weekly research meetings and communicates routine correspondence in regards to abstraction and interview status
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
High school or equivalent and/or associate. 1-2 years of experience.
Desired Qualifications*
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred to serve Spanish-speaking population. Research experience and/or minimum of 2 years college preferred.

This is a term-limited position for one year, with possibility of renewal contingent on funding.
