New York, Susquehanna & Western Railway Track Laborer in Cortland, New York
The NYS&W has immediate openings for a Track Laborer in Cortland, NY Include track maintenance and construction, installation of rails, ties, switches and other track materials, and culvert and bridge maintenance repairs. Requires the use of tools and equipment, maintenance and repair of equipment, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Frequent walking on uneven surfaces; standing extended periods of time; lift/carry and push/pull equipment and other objects weighing up to 75 lbs; bending, stooping and kneeling, working outdoors every day in all weather conditions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, random drug tests, background check and have a good driving record/history. Class A or Class B CDL is required for the higher rates of pay. NYS&W may pay for training expenses to obtain Class A or B CDL license. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card to qualify for CDL training. Offering a competitive benefit package which includes medical, dental, paid vacation and 401K. Starting pay is $22.93 -$26.48/hr.
