The Project Director will oversee the successful completion of Westinghouse Scope for the Czech/Dukovany project. This role involves managing all aspects of the Westinghouse Project Scope, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the KHNP APR1400 nuclear power plant units. The Director will ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
This is a remote role and can be located anywhere in the United States. No sponsorship or relocation is provided.
Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority): Key Responsibilities: * Lead the Westinghouse Czech/Dukovany project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives in accordance with the established agreement. * Lead the Westinghouse execution team of resources from key functions including (but not limited to) engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. * Manage Westinghouse project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on time and cost-effective project delivery. * Ensure compliance with all Czech/Dukovany project, regulatory and safety requirements. * Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project owners, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd (collectively "TK"), the licensee, and other subcontractors. * Provide leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. * Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and eliminate or mitigate any issues or risks. * Prepare and present regular project status reports to Westinghouse senior management as well as Project Stakeholders. * Ensure effective communication and coordination between all Westinghouse organizations and project stakeholders.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and project team from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant construction, operations and regulatory requirements is required.
Years of Experience - 15 Professional Certifications: PMP, Customer First, Six Sigma, or similar is a plus Preferred Skills: * Experience working in Asia and Europe and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment. * On site nuclear power plant construction or maintenance experience * Familiarity with the APR1400 nuclear reactor technology. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
